Guest Conductor and Pianist Revealed For No Name Pops' Peter Nero Tribute Concert

Firelands Symphony Holiday Pops Concert to Feature Jazz Twist

The Firelands Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Carl Topilow, will present its annual holiday pops concert at 4 p.m., Dec. 10, at Sawmill Creek Convention Center, 400 Sawmill Creek Drive in Huron.

This year’s family holiday concert is titled “A Peppermint Twist Christmas” and features favorite holiday classics, as well as non-traditional holiday songs for a sweet twist, according to a news release.

Firelands Symphony Orchestra season opener features Sinta Sax Quartet

The Firelands Symphony Orchestra opens its 2023-24 concert season with the concert Sax in the City at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 16, at Sawmill Creek Convention Center, 400 Sawmill Creek Drive West in Huron, according to a news release.

The concert will feature the full orchestra, and guest artists The Sinta Sax Quartet, the release said.

“We are delighted to welcome the remarkable Sinta Saxophone Quartet to perform with the Firelands Symphony Orchestra,” said Carl Topilow, music director and conductor in the release. “These musicians will amaze and delight our audience with their virtuosity and musicianship.
